All You Need Is Kill Anime Adaptation and Film Updates
GKIDS acquired the rights to 'All You Need Is Kill' for multiple territories, including North America, the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand. The film will be released in theaters in North America on January 16.
The English dub casting for the anime was revealed, featuring Stephanie Sheh as Rita, Yonaha as Keiji, Lisa Kay Jennings as Shasta, and others.
The film premiered in Japan on January 9 and screened at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France in June. It also had its North American premiere at Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal.
The anime was nominated for the Animag Selection of the 58th Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain and screened at various upcoming festivals.
The novel, originally released by Shueisha in December 2004, was adapted into a graphic novel by Viz Media. It also inspired the live-action Hollywood movie 'Edge of Tomorrow,' starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
