Series Premise
Based on Marvel Comics’ Spider-Man Noir, the “Spider-Noir” live-action series follows Ben Reilly, a private investigator in 1930s New York. Played by Nicolas Cage, the burnt-out private eye grapples with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero. The tagline states: With no power comes no responsibility.
Cast Highlights
Nicolas Cage stars as Ben Reilly. He is joined by Lamorne Morris as journalist Robbie Robertson, Li Jun Li as Cat Hardy, a nightclub songstress and femme fatale, and Karen Rodriguez as Ben Reilly’s assistant detective, Janet.
Production Team
“Spider-Noir” was developed by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal, the Academy Award-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Harry Bradbeer directed and executive produced the first two episodes. Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot serve as co-showrunners and executive producers.
Release and Availability
The series arrives on May 27 in authentic black & white and true-hue full color. Produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video, it debuts on MGM+’s linear channel in the U.S., followed by global release on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.
