Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku Anime Reveals Visual Trailer, Main Cast, and Staff

The previously announced anime adaptation of Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku has revealed a visual trailer along with the main cast and staff. The animation is handled by TM Studio Entertainment.

The series is set to premiere in 2026. The visual trailer provides a glimpse into the vibrant world of Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku, showcasing the main characters and their unique dynamics.

The main cast includes Sho Komura as Takuya Seo, Konomi Inagaki as Amane Yu, Kei Amane as Kotoko Ijichi, and others. The series is directed by Mita Arata with Kazuhiko Inukai handling the series composition and Lion Matsuda overseeing character designs.

Based on a manga by Norishiro Chan and illustrated by Sakana Uozumi, Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku explores the story of Takuya Seo, an otaku who finds himself in a unique situation when his favorite anime is exposed to Amane Yu, a girl from a different social class with whom he shares common interests despite their differences.
