Leaker Claims Port is In Development
According to a recent claim by leaker Nate the Hate, the action RPG Black Myth: Wukong is planned for release on the Nintendo Switch 2. During a podcast discussion regarding the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase scheduled for February 5, the leaker stated he had heard the title would arrive on Nintendo’s upcoming home console. Black Myth: Wukong previously sold tens of millions of copies early in its lifecycle and secured the award for Best Action Game at the 2024 Game Awards. While the original title has not yet received downloadable content, the franchise is expanding. A reveal trailer for a separate title, Black Myth: Zhong Kui , was shown at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025.
Future Narrative Plans
Developer Game Science has indicated that Black Myth: Zhong Kui is not expected to serve as a direct sequel to Wukong , though more content stemming from the original story could follow. It remains unclear if the narrative of Black Myth: Wukong will continue through a dedicated sequel or through DLC for the base game.
