The spinoff manga Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun if Episode of Mafia (known as IruMafia ), created by hiroja and based on Osamu Nishi's original series, is set to receive a television anime adaptation. NHK confirmed that the series will premiere in January 2027. Along with the announcement, NHK revealed a teaser visual for the upcoming anime. The broadcaster has not yet specified which specific channel, such as General or Educational, will air the program

Plot Overview and English Licensing

Kodansha USA Publishing licenses the manga and provides a synopsis describing the spinoff as an alternate universe story. In this version, Iruma is depicted as a cheerful boy living in poverty within a ruthless city slum. After Iruma shares his last loaf of bread with an injured old man, he discovers the stranger is Don Sullivan, the head of the Babyl Mafia. Sullivan adopts Iruma, and the story follows his new life as the heir to the demonic mafia organization. Kodansha USA is scheduled to release the third compiled book volume in English on February 17

Manga Publication History

The IruMafia spinoff initially launched in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shōnen Champion magazine in September 2023. It subsequently moved to Weekly Shōnen Champion on December 11. Akita Shoten will publish the manga's seventh compiled volume on February 6

Franchise Context and Related Works

Osamu Nishi launched the main Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun manga in Weekly Shōnen Champion in March 2017. The series has inspired multiple anime seasons; the first premiered in October 2019, the second in April 2021, and the third in October 2022. The fourth season of the main anime is scheduled to debut in April 2026. Another spinoff connected to the series, Makai no Shuyaku wa Wareware da! (The Protagonist of the Demon World is Us), concluded its run with a final chapter published in March 2025.
